Surgery of the Inferior Turbinate
摘要
Each nasal cavity contains three turbinates: the superior, middle, and inferior turbinates. The nasal turbinates are important anatomical structures that arise from the cartilaginous nasal capsule. The inferior turbinate is the largest of all turbinates and lowest of the three and is covered with a mucous membrane. It extends horizontally from the lateral wall of the nasal cavity. Its length, on average, is 48.7 mm in men and 47.3 mm in women [1].
