An Elliptic Intuitionistic Fuzzy Analysis of Regional Samsung Net Revenue Variations

Elliptic intuitionistic fuzzy sets, one of the recent extensions of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, were introduced by Atanassov in 2021 for a flexible description of fuzzy environments. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) establishes if a given factor significantly affects the process or event under investigation. An index-matrix approach of Elliptic Intuitionistic Fuzzy Analysis of Variance (E-IFANOVA) is introduced in this study for the first time, by expanding the Circular Intuitionistic Fuzzy Analysis of Variance (C-IFANOVA). Three scenarios are presented to the decision maker for a final decision: medium, optimistic and pessimistic. The conventional analysis of variance and the suggested E-IFANOVA are used to show how the factor “geographic segmentation” affects the net revenue of the Samsung corporation for the years 2020–2023. The paper’s uniqueness is in its application of the particular E-IFANOVA to the Samsung net revenue for the 2020–2023 period, taking into account the geographic segmentation factor.
