Management of LAGB Complications: Reflux, Band Erosion, and Dilated Esophagus
摘要
Laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LAGB) was once a popular option for the surgical management of morbid obesity. Despite its promising early safety profile, patients with LAGBs can manifest unique late postoperative complications that must be recognized and treated appropriately. This chapter will review the common long-term complications encountered in patients with LAGBs and discuss the clinical presentation, assessment, and key management steps of each.
