摘要

Bariatric endoscopy is a developing area that studies the treatment of bariatric surgery complications through minimally invasive endoscopic procedures, and primary obesity therapies. The traditional approach to these complications is surgical, which is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Endoscopic procedures, such as stent placement, balloon dilation, and septotomy, among others, have the potential of decreasing costs and morbidity while allowing a better quality of life for patients during treatment. Sleeve Gastrectomy has become the most performed bariatric procedure worldwide, and despite its simple technique, some complications may occur. In this chapter, we present the therapeutic endoscopic approaches for managing sleeve gastrectomy complications, such as reflux, stenosis, and leaks.
