Normal Postsurgical Anatomy

Flexible upper endoscopy is an important aspect of bariatric postoperative evaluation. Knowledge of normal postsurgical anatomy is crucial to distinguish iatrogenic alteration from pathological distortion. This chapter highlights normal postsurgical anatomy for various bariatric procedures. Knowledge of these anatomical differences as well as expected endoluminal findings is prerequisite for safe and effective postoperative endoscopy in the bariatric patient.
