Gynecologic Care, Hysterectomy/Oophorectomy, for Transgender and Gender Variant Men with Gender Dysphoria

Transgender men, transmasculine or gender variant men have specific gynecologic needs that can be met only by providers and environments guided by knowledge and compassion. There are many considerations and options that are involved in the gynecological care for transgender individuals. This includes the environment, considerations prior to surgery, the preoperative evaluations and tests, fertility planning, and surgical planning. These are all discussed in the following chapter.
