Crystal Growth and Characterization of Cinnamaldehyde-Doped Lead Nitrate Organic Optical Crystal by Slow Evaporation Method
摘要
This paper describes the growth of cinnamaldehyde–lead nitrate (CLN) of an entirely new organic nonlinear optical crystal at room temperature using the slow evaporation solution growth method. Single-crystal analysis and powder X-ray diffraction analysis were used to characterize the grown crystals. CLN crystal has a cubic crystallographic structure, as demonstrated by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The analysis focused on supra molecular aggregation and how C-H, C=C and C=O bond interactions stabilized the crystal structure. The low cutoff wavelength of 277.84 nm is utilized in UV–visible investigations to ascertain the developed crystal’s high optical transparency. Through the use of Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectral analysis, the thermal behavior of the produced crystals has been evaluated. Additionally, the surface shape of the CLN crystal has been shown by SEM and EDAX investigations. Fluorescence investigation of the grown crystal was examined in the range of 200–900 nm.
