Environmental Synthesis, Evaluation, and Photocatalytic Performance of Co-doped Akaganeite Employing Azadirachta indica Extract of Leaves Under Visible Light

By using a green synthesis technique, photocatalytically active mesoporous Azadirachta indica leaf extract-modified Co/-Fe2O3 nanorods (AzI-CFO) have been created. Different characterization methods are employed for the synthesized nanorods. In contrast to Fe2O3 (FO) and Azadirachta indica-modified Fe2O3 (AzI-FO), these AzI-CFO nanorods had an average diameter of 82.33 nm and displayed ferromagnetic behavior. When compared with AzI-FO and FO, AzI-CFO had a higher photocatalytic activity. With the alteration of Azadirachta indica and metal doping, the potential rate constant of AzI-CFO nanorods increased. These nanorods exhibit pseudo-first-order dynamics. These findings highlight the potential of green-synthesized AzI-CFO nanorods as promising materials for applications in sensing and dye degradation.
