Synthesis, Thermal Reactivity, and Antioxidant Activity of Aminoguanidinium Benzene Tricarboxylates
摘要
New aminoguanidine salts of aromatic benzene tricarboxylic acid viz., 1,2,3-benzene tricarboxylic acid (H2hml), 1,2,4-benzene tricarboxylic acids (H2tml) and 1,3,5-benzene tricarboxylic acid (H2tms) have been prepared and characterized by analytical FT-IR spectroscopic techniques. Thermal stability and reactivity of the aminoguanidinium salts were evaluated using simultaneous TG-DTA techniques. Thermal studies revealed that aromatic benzene tricarboxylate salts undergo two- to three-step decomposition, resulting in gaseous end products. Using the ferric reducing and the phosphomolybdenum assay, the antioxidant capabilities of the salts were investigated. The results discovered that all the salts have significant reducing ability.
