Experimental Study on Concrete with Partial Vermiculite and Fly Ash Replacement of Fine Aggregate and Cement

摘要

This research involves an experimental investigation on concrete in which fly ash and vermiculite are used in place of some of the cement and fine aggregate. The addition of vermiculite to concrete improves its resistance to shrinkage and cracks while lowering its density. This project’s primary goal is to investigate the strength characteristics of concrete, such as its compressive strength and split tensile strength, by partially replacing vermiculite with fine aggregate in different proportions (10%, 20%, and 30%). Cement can partially replace fly ash, up to 30%. For the M20 mix design, a total of 27 cubes and 9 cylinders were made. This study’s primary goal is to create environmentally friendly, lightweight concrete. Analyses are the results.
