摘要

A comparison between the use of magnetized water and normal water in concrete is investigated by conducting an experimental study on the flexural beam properties of M40 concrete beam. Concrete cubes of M40 mix are cast to evaluate the mechanical properties alongside the durability and stability. When exposed to magnetism, water undergoes physical changes which results in the reduction of the number of molecules and decrease in water surface tension. Thus this use of magnetic water in concrete makes the concrete more durable and adaptable making it highly advantageous for construction endeavours. The quality of the concrete is improved to a great extent by its strength and flexibility when magnetized water is used in concrete mix. When magnetic water is used, the usage of cement can be cut down by 27%. The flexural strength and compressive strength of magnetized water increased by 9.53% and 8.75%, respectively, when compared to conventional concrete.
