Experimental Investigation of Al8011 Reinforced with Zro2 Hybrid Metal Matrix Composite Based on Wear
摘要
In today’s context, composite materials have become indispensable in various industries such as automobile, aerospace, and defense because of their exceptional strength, lightweight nature, and impressive mechanical properties. Aluminum alloy Al8011 is a versatile alloy known for its strength and excellent resistance to corrosion. This makes it a popular choice for demanding applications in industries such as automotive, marine, and aerospace. This study aims to analyze and compare the properties of Al8011 with the incorporation of zirconium oxide and graphite. Preparations were made for samples with varying weight percentages of zirconium oxide and graphite reinforcements using the stir casting method. The findings indicate that the integration of ZrO2 increases the mechanical properties, and graphite increases the material’s tensile strength.
