Effect of Fiber and Orientation Performance of Bamboo/PP Fiber Composite Using Response Surface Methodology

The primary aim of this research is to thoroughly examine, model, and optimize various aspects that affect the suitability of materials for the structural parts of automobiles. The methodology involves fabricating composites using the hand layup technique and employing the CCD method for evaluation. Response surface methodology (RSM) is employed to develop mathematical models capable of predicting the ultimate tensile strength and flexural strength. These models consider several characteristics, such as fiber orientation and fiber percentage. The findings suggest that these models have significant value in identifying the most efficient variables for enhancing mechanical properties. The percentage of fiber and orientation results in a significant increase of 31% in tensile strength and 23% in flexural strength. The orientation of polymers results in exceptional strength and flexibility, offering promising advancements that can be utilized across multiple industries, including aerospace, automotive, medical, and more.
