Fluids
摘要
In this chapter, we will discuss the constitutive class that characterizes fluids, which are bodies for which stress in equilibrium has an isotropic pressure character. The consequences of the entropy principle will be discussed in detail, presenting both Euler’s equations for an ideal fluid and the Fourier–Navier–Stokes equations in the case of dissipative fluids. We will also briefly discuss incompressible fluids, Bernoulli’s theorem, and the propagation velocities of plane waves.
