  • Gian Francesco Giudice

摘要

Rapid economic development after the First World War brought prosperity to Europe and the Americas, despite ominous signs of future nationalisms and dictatorships. Jazz music was all the rage, radios were appearing in people’s homes, and the first films were being shown in theaters. While Howard Carter was uncovering the sarcophagus of Tutankhamun and Charles Lindbergh was flying across the Atlantic, quantum mechanics was revealing unimaginable secrets hidden in the depths of matter. Yet, cosmology was languishing.
