Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus
摘要
Cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) is a rare, inflammatory autoimmune disorder that encompasses a broad spectrum of clinical manifestations. Various environmental factors influence the clinical expression of CLE, with sunlight exposure strongly linked to different subtypes of the disease. However, the complex pathophysiological mechanisms underlying CLE are still under investigation. A comprehensive patient history, histological analysis of skin biopsy specimens, photoprovocation, and serological investigations are crucial for supporting the diagnosis of CLE and providing important insights into disease activity and damage, as well as guiding appropriate therapeutic strategies. In recent years, European and German guidelines have been established by experts, outlining a diagnostic and therapeutic procedure for CLE patients.
