Autoimmune Ovarian Insufficiency

Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) comprises a complex disease with multiple etiopathogenic mechanisms including autoimmunity. This chapter reviews the different autoimmunity patterns related to premature ovarian aging. Some of these patterns are related to global autoimmune regulation, whereas others may be related to inflammatory autoimmunity against ovarian antigens.
