摘要

In recent years, silicon (Si) has emerged as an alternative for agricultural production, impacting plant rhizosphere dynamics by promoting plant-microorganism interactions and improving crop performance under stressful conditions and different production systems. Here, we provide evidence into how Si modulates soil pH, enzymatic activity, nutrient availability, and the structure, composition, and functional potential of soil microbial communities. The mechanisms behind these changes are not fully understood but might involve direct and indirect associations from Si-soil-microorganism-plant dynamics. Understanding these interactions is crucial for promoting sustainable and resilient agronomic practices.
