Gender and Diversity

Women and girls are already the most affected by climate change (particularly in agriculture) and need to be a key consideration in all climate action. If there is one cross-cutting issue to prioritise in all climate transition planning it should be gender, as it is likely to produce positive outcomes not just for women but for the whole of society. All Just Transitions must consider Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to be an intrinsic strength for the system as a whole.
