Systems That Bend Towards Justice

  • John Morrison

摘要

What is really meant by the ‘Just’ in ‘Just Transition’? This chapter sets out the four key tenants of any Just Transition and that all such transitions must be place-based and time-bound. It then looks at the differences between just, equitable, orderly, fair, or inclusive transitions, whether the concept should only apply to workers, and different forms of justice. Whilst promoting the benefits of a systems-thinking approach, the chapter underlines that clear lines of accountability can sometimes be missing in such approaches, and therefore invents the concept of a ‘Just System’.
