Game-Based Learning and L2 Grammar Acquisition
摘要
This chapter investigates the effectiveness of game-based learning in teaching grammar, particularly subject-verb agreement, to middle school ESL learners. The study employs a quasi-experimental design, comparing traditional teaching methods with game-based activities in an American school in the UAE. It explores how games can enhance motivation, engagement, and grammar learning in ESL contexts. The results indicate significant improvements in grammar acquisition through game-based activities, highlighting the potential of games as an effective educational tool in language learning.
