The Social and Environmental Benefits of UBI
摘要
Chapter six is devoted to a long-ranging discussion of the ways in which the introduction of a universal basic income would bring profound social and environmental benefits. The central argument incorporates a consideration of the ways in which work would be transformed, with a particular focus on one of the sectors where precarious working conditions are particularly pronounced: the cultural and creative industries. The chapter ends with the author’s core argument for UBI, in advance of the final chapter, which considers how it might be implemented.
