The Transition Towards Sustainable Development: A Reality of the Sustainable Fashion Industry in Saudi Arabia
摘要
Saudi Arabia is increasingly aware of environmental responsibility in business, particularly in sustainable fashion. The Ministry of Culture has promoted this through events and programs, but their impact on luxury fashion sustainability remains unevaluated. This study used qualitative methods, conducting semi-structured interviews with 18 sustainable fashion businesses, to assess the sector’s current state and the Ministry’s role. It aimed to understand the challenges in ethical sourcing, supply chain management, and resource innovation. The findings will inform policies to advance Saudi Arabia’s sustainable fashion industry and support future sustainable development.
