Artificial Intelligence and Its Roles in Early Detection of Cervical Cancer
摘要
The persistence of cervical cancer as a substantial global health issue is particularly evident in settings with limited resources. Timely detection and diagnosis play a pivotal role in enhancing survival rates and reducing the financial burden of treatment. The deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) is improbable to revolutionize the healthcare sector, particularly when it pertains to providing innovative solutions for the early detection and diagnosis of cervical cancer. This chapter investigates the diverse functions that AI serves in the identification of cervical cancer, encompassing automated image analysis, aiding in colposcopy, computer-aided diagnosis (CAD), risk evaluation, integration with electronic health records (EHR), predictive models and mobile health (mHealth) solutions. Moreover, it explores the phases involved in the identification and diagnosis of cervical cancer through AI, covering screening and triage, examination of histopathology images, forecasting and risk evaluation, planning of treatment, tracking of response and offering clinical decision-making assistance.
