Asymptotic Behavior of the Eigenvalues in the Context of Sobolev Orthogonality

Sobolev-type orthogonal polynomials are eigenfunctions of a certain difference/differential operator, so obtaining the asymptotic behavior of the corresponding eigenvalues will be the main objective of this contribution. Furthermore, this manuscript intends to be a survey of the results already existing in the literature, new results will also be obtained, and some open problems will be proposed.
