The Practice of Ubuntu in the United States and COVID-19: The Case of Zimbabwean Immigrants

This chapter surveys the economic challenges due to the loss of employment by some Zimbabwean immigrants inTexas, hence affecting Ubuntu. Africans have always lived a communal life whereby they have a tendency of helping each other and sharing the little things that they have but this way of life have been affected by poverty that immigrant Zimbabweans experience in Texas. With this research paper I investigate the African concept of Ubuntu with specific reference to the experiences of immigrant Zimbabweans in Texas. In this research chapter, I am using a literature review as well as the qualitative research method by conducting interviews with five (5) participants who were in the same situation.
