Les Arbres des Océans
摘要
This article highlights the growing interest of the international Science-Technology-Innovation community. It points out the potential economic and climatological benefits of a socio-ecological innovation called ‘Floating Mangroves’, in support of the SDGs 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 14 (Life Below Water). The authors briefly describe their joint and individual achievements in developing methods to produce mangrove-biomass afloat on tropical and sub-tropical oceans, without the need of terrestrial spaces, and without the need of freshwater supply. They address the urgent necessity of the international scientific and environmental communities to develop this innovation further considering its potential benefits that can contribute to redress the ongoing Triple-Planetary-Syndrom, which is increasingly exacerbated by the global energy paradox.
