Child Rights Advocacy: The Role of School Psychology in the Context of International Policy
摘要
As a conclusion to this volume, this chapter explores the role of school psychologists in child rights advocacy, based on the United Nations initiatives related to child rights and sustainable development and relevant theories of change. Using these foundations, the chapter explores the responsibilities of school psychologists, individually and collectively, in promoting child rights and sustainable development across multiple domains, including practice, research, training, and policy work. Furthermore, the author examines professional ethical standards, areas of professional competence with an emphasis on advocacy, key partnerships, and the role of the International School Psychology Association, its national affiliates, and other national school psychology associations in promoting and protecting child rights and contributing to sustainable development. The chapter concludes with recommendations for the future.
