The Neck Viscera: Thyroid, Parathyroids and Salivary Glands

These glands, (thyroid and parathyroid), are located in the lower part of the anterior triangle of the neck encased by the infrahyoid muscles (sternohyoid and sternothyroid). The hyoid bone and its supra- and infrahyoid muscles are partially covered in this chapter but also in the chapters on the mouth and larynx.
