The Ear
摘要
For the purposes of definition the external ear consists of the auricle (pinna), the external acoustic meatus and the outer aspect of the tympanic membrane. The middle ear comprises the tympanic cavity (tympanum) with the ossicles and the Eustachian tube. The inner ear lies inside the temporal bone housing the membranous labyrinth and the vestibule containing the semicircular canals, the cochlea and the vestibulocochlear neural receptors (vestibular and auditory nerves).
