Sustainability Assessment of Green Energy in Cloud Computing Environments

摘要

How to conduct sustainable evaluation of green energy in the cloud computing environment is an important direction to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental pollution in data centers. With the increasing energy consumption of data centers in various countries around the world, utilizing renewable energy has become an inevitable trend in industrial development. This article utilizes an integrated green energy supply solution for cloud data centers. By collaborating with local power grids and new energy companies, the power system can be dynamically regulated. By using this model, it is possible to comprehensively evaluate the green energy consumption of cloud services and identify areas for improvement. To fully evaluate the sustainable utilization of green energy in the cloud computing environment, this article adopts a carbon emission data based on energy consumption, equipment production, processing and other links, and combines direct and indirect emission data from the server to comprehensively evaluate the carbon footprint of the data center. During the late night to morning period (00:00–12:00), the article observed a slow decrease in PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) value from 1.55 to 1.45, reflecting a significant improvement in energy efficiency in data centers during this period. This article comprehensively evaluates and deeply analyzes the sustainable development of green energy in the cloud computing environment using various research methods, providing theoretical basis for promoting the green transformation of China’s cloud computing industry.
