Artificial Intelligence (AI) is advancing technology reshaping numerous industries and sustainability. With a high potential to enhance efficiency, and minimize waste, the AI technique emerges as a tool in addressing environmental challenges and steering towards a sustainable future. AI can solve problems at a higher rate and accuracy having a large number of inputs. The integration of AI with life cycle assessment utilizes data from environmental product declarations and trains the model to predict categories such as global warming potential, acidification potential, and photochemical ozone creation potential. AI has become a vital tool for developing sustainable solutions that help in preserving the world for future generations. As the world is facing serious problems such as global warming and climate change, it is essential to develop and utilize environment-friendly and sustainable products that require AI solutions. The application of AI enhances the human ability to control climate change to achieve sustainability during the usage of environmental resources. Combining both analytical and technical aspects is an absolute necessity for AI to achieve environmental sustainability. Result evaluation plays a vital role in this process and cannot be overlooked. AI-integrated systems are applied to address environmental problems in several sectors for accomplishing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The realm of AI is expanding in various fields which also minimizes the use of natural resources. The chapter deals with the impact of AI techniques on environment sustainability, and life cycle analysis at various stages. Furthermore, it explains the legal regulations, ethical guidelines, data privacy, and security which includes compliance of AI integrated systems.
