A new version of the SSG/LRR Reynolds stress model that uses the natural logarithm of the specific dissipation rate \(\omega \) as the length-scale providing variable is developed within the Vitam project and implemented into the DLR-TAU code. A verification and validation of the model implementation are conducted using several test cases which covered wall bounded flows as well as separating flows. Performance assessment of the new version of the model is carried out by comparing the predictions with SSG/LRR- \(\omega \) predictions and experimental data for complex industry relevant configurations. Comparison studies show that the new version of the model improves the robustness and convergence of computations while delivering predictions similar to the SSG/LRR- \(\omega \) predictions.

摘要
