摘要

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) synthesis involves various methods. Arc discharge, laser ablation, and chemical vapor deposition are common methods. CNTs find applications in agriculture. CNTs stimulate plant growth, function as biosensors, aid seed germination, and assist pesticide analysis. CNTs impact plant biomass, seed germination, root growth. CNTs exhibit antibacterial capabilities, influencing soil microbial populations. CNTs act as adsorbents, removing organic and inorganic pollutants from wastewater and contaminated soils. CNTs present high surface area, hydrophobicity for adsorption. CNT adsorbents overcome drawbacks of activated carbons. Modified CNTs exhibit higher adsorption capacity than conventional methods. CNTs simultaneously remove salt, organic, inorganic contaminants from water and wastewater. CNT-based membranes, filters expected to have higher treatment efficiency. CNT sponges absorb oil from water for reuse or recycling. Human activities, industrial effluents introduce contaminants into water resources. Conventional treatment cannot remove some toxins effectively. CNTs promising for addressing water scarcity, pollution due to special properties. CNTs employed in adsorption, photocatalysis, membranes, filters, microbial fuel cells, disinfection, desalination.
