摘要

Sagittal craniosynostosis are mostly nonsyndromic single suture craniosynostosis. Main deformity constricts the brain growth by narrow width of the skull vault. Most of the skull growth happens along to the long axis of skull because coronal and lambdoid sutures are main focus of skull expansion. Surgical correction of this dolichocephalic deformity is inevitable to preserve psychomotor development. There are several optional approaches for surgical correction such as strip craniectomy, vault remodeling, endoscopic suturectomy, and distraction osteogenesis, etc. This chapter will focus only on distraction osteogenesis with its details and techniques.
