Non-invasive Assessment of ICP and Perfusion in Craniosynostosis
摘要
Raised intracranial pressure (ICP) occurs in about 15–20% of children with single-suture synostosis. Clinical and radiological manifestations remain blunt tools in the detection of raised ICP. This is due to the often subtle nature of the clinical presentation and poor sensitivity of the radiological features. Invasive monitoring of ICP in children has associated risks which limit its widespread use. Some of the relevant non-invasive techniques for assessing ICP and also perfusion have been reviewed and discussed in this chapter.
