Craniocerebral Disproportion, Cerebral Perfusion, and Raised Intracranial Pressure in Craniosynostosis
摘要
Elevated intracranial pressure (ICP) can be associated with craniosynostosis. It is more common in multisuture and syndromic patients but is also present in single-suture, nonsyndromic cases. In addition to craniocerebral disproportion, hydrocephalus, venous anomalies, and/or ventilatory problems may contribute to elevated ICP. Children with craniosynostosis are at increased risk of developmental problems, and craniocerebral disproportion is thought to play a role, but the data supporting a direct causative relationship are controversial.
