Homoclinic Bifurcation Behaviors of Grid-Following and Grid-Forming Converters
摘要
The robustness of the grid-connected system against transient disturbance is strongly related to the basin of attraction of the stable equilibrium point. In this chapter, the essential change in this basin of attraction is shown to be determined by the homoclinic bifurcation for both grid-forming and grid-following converters. It is shown that this basin of attraction can be significantly enlarged to contain the unstable equilibrium point and is continuous along the power-angle direction. As a result, the converter can resynchronize with the grid after a few cycles of oscillations, where the power angle increases by at least 360 degree.
