An Afternote on Method

This chapter outlines the philosophical categories at work in its research: method, addressing what it takes to be the essential modes of philosophical enquiry inherited through the philosophical tradition from pre-Socratic Greek thinking to modern and contemporary European philosophy. Ontology, phenomenology, epistemology, hermeneutics, ethics and aporia are outlined by way of defining the conscious philosophical perspective applied throughout this book.
