Free will and consciousness have been mostly absent from the preceding chapters. Some see them as central. Indeed, David Chalmers argues that consciousness is the only example of strong emergence. In this chapter, I will use some thought experiments to clarify the issues. My aim is to show that there is no reason they cannot be incorporated in a physicalist account.
