During the last few decades, universities have become microworlds in which diverse nationalities and culturesCulture coexist, and various languages are spoken, a phenomenon referred as ‘superdiversity’ (Gogolin & Duarte, 2017). This occurrence seems to stem from the last historical and economic events and technological advances collectively labelled as ‘globalisationGlobalisation’ (Dagen et al., 2019), and its effects on higher education institutions, the spotlight of this research.
