In this and the next chapter we study mathematical logic. In this chapter we concentrate on propositional logic, which involves performing operations on simple statements which can be true or false. We will study the use of truth tables that define rules for these operations, and learn some simple laws that enable us to develop an algebra of propositions.

In this and the next chapter we study mathematical logic. In this chapter we concentrate on propositional logic, which involves performing operations on simple statements which can be true or false.
