Harnessing Fagraea Berteroana Leaf Extract for Eco-Friendly Synthesis of Platinum Nanoparticles

This research is centered around the environmentally friendly synthesis of platinum nanoparticles (PtNPs) using the “green” method, with Fagraea berteroana as the substrate. PtNPs hold significant potential, but traditional synthesis methods raise environmental issues. The “green” approach, utilizing natural materials like F. berteroana, offers a sustainable alternative, harnessing its phytochemicals as reducing and stabilizing agents. Abundant and accessible, F. berteroana also possesses antioxidant and antimicrobial properties, enhancing nanoparticle functionality. Notably, this investigation spotlights F. berteroana’s abundant availability in Latin America and addresses a lack of research into its bioactive compounds. By embracing F. berteroana for “green” synthesis, the study aims to minimize environmental impact and facilitate eco-friendly PtNP production for diverse applications such as medical imaging, implants, photothermal therapy, and drug delivery. This research contributes to advancing “green” synthesis methods, expanding PtNP applications, and unveiling novel eco-friendly resources through the integration of F. berteroana’s unique attributes.
