Emotion Recognition with AI Methodologies: Brief Review and Methodological Proposal

Emotion recognition plays a crucial role in the field of artificial intelligence, as it allows machines to understand and respond appropriately to human emotions. This article provides a review of the methodologies used in emotion recognition using artificial intelligence. The article begins by highlighting the importance of understanding human emotions in various fields, such as psychology, human-machine interaction, and the detection of emotional states in practical applications. It is emphasized that emotions are complex and subjective, which presents significant challenges for their automatic recognition. Next, different artificial intelligence methodologies used in emotion recognition are explored. In addition to the methodologies, the data sources used to train and evaluate emotion recognition models are discussed. Finally, a methodological proposal is made and a case study is applied to validate the information gathered.
