摘要

The purpose of this final chapter is to bring together practical examples of materials development for English Language Teaching (ELT) across a global context. It features four different themes in this volume, and it looks forward to further ongoing education trends. It begins by providing a brief overview of the materials design focuses covered in each chapter, followed by a further summary of the major contributions to the field detailed through the course of this collection and tying together the key concepts guiding this volume: materials, materials development, innovative teaching, and sustainable learning. This chapter also looks to provide some additional practical tips and techniques on innovative teaching and materials development, with an analysis and exploration of methods used in this volume and in the ELT industry. These closing reflections conclude with a look at recent trends in materials development and a look towards the future for educators and learners.
