IoT Based Smart Gas Stove

In the 21st century, the technology has improved and converted human control into automated or machine operated systems. The ‘Internet of Things (IoT)’ has revolutionized the way to interact with everyday appliances, enhancing efficiency, safety, and convenience. Though alternative ways of cooking like induction cooking are available, it is more likely to find a conventional gas-stove in every 3 out of 4 houses in India. When there is a leakage of gas, over heating the food, forgetting to turn off the stove, an alternative solution is implemeted using sensors such as temperature sensor, gas sensor and sound sensor. These sensors perform the task like turning off the stove automatically while boiling liquid using a temperature sensor, detect the gas leak through the valve or the burner using a gas sensor or to detect the number of sound counts from a pressure cooker using a sound sensor. An application is used to make the user comfortable by receiving the notifications of the status of gas leakage, temperature and sound and also controlling the stove to switch off. Through a combination of sensor technologies, connectivity, and intelligent devices, the proposed smart gas stove aims to redefine the cooking experience, ensuring a safer, more efficient, and user-friendly approach to daily culinary activities.
