Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Contexts of Gender
摘要
This chapter will provide a basic orientation to issues affecting transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) individuals. Topics such as an introduction to terminology, meanings of pronouns, mental health concerns, and the presence of TGNC individuals and topics across cultures will be presented. The challenges of navigating multiple cisnormative (i.e., highlighting the presumptions that people are cisgender) binary social worlds as a TGNC person will be highlighted.
