Examination of the Head and Neck

The Face is attached to the undersurface of the Cranium hanging in front of the cervical spine where the hard palate is opposite the C1 Vertebra and the Lower border of the Mandible is opposite C2. The Pharynx is attached to the back of the nose―Naso-Pharynx‖ and back of the mouth―Oro-pharynx‖ like a mask placed on the nose and mouth but opposite the Cervical Vertebrae. Lower down It is opposite the Larynx “Laryngo-pharynx”.
