Conclusion: A Multi-Faceted Digital Revolution

  • Anne Bellon

摘要

In most Western countries, the State went through a digital revolution. This is evidenced by the importance of digital issues and digital instruments in the making of public intervention. Recent policies are marked by both increased cooperation with the major players of the digital economy and a growing use of Internet tools and models, such as algorithms, platforms and applications. Above all, the challenge of digitizing public intervention has been politicized in an unprecedented way. The conclusion of the book looks back at the social and political effects of the global digitization of public policy in Europe. It also offers a prospective assessment on future challenges for the development of Internet regulation, with the State facing the power of large international platforms.
