According to the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), in 2019 ASDS dermatologists performed over 10.3 million cosmetic treatments (Ibrahim et al. in Dermatol Surg 45:303–306, 2019 [1, 2]). Given this data, minimally invasive cosmetic procedures remain popular. As more individuals desire aesthetic alterations, in conjunction with a surge in telemedicine utilization secondary to theCovid-19 COVID-19 pandemic, it is inevitable that more dermatologists will implement the use of telemedicineTelemedicine in their practices for aesthetic consultations and post-procedure care. We will discuss the benefits and drawbacks of telehealthTelehealth for aesthetic consultations and follow-up careFollow-up care from the perspectives of both practitioners and patients, as well as how telehealth continues to revolutionize the cosmetic dermatology industry. The latter of this chapter will focus on a review of laser technologyTechnology and their applications in the field of dermatologyDermatology.
